When do you use the Futur I?
To express the future in German, you usually just use a time expression + present tense: "Morgen gehe ich ins Schwimmbad."
You use Futur I when you want to emphasise something more strongly:
Formation: werden + infinitive
The Futur I consists of the conjugated form of werden and the infinitive at the end.
werden (conjugated) + infinitive at end of sentence
Futur I for assumptions
Futur I doesn't only express the future. You can also use it for present-tense assumptions. The word wohl makes the assumption even clearer.
When expressing assumptions, no future is meant. "Er wird im Büro sein" means: I assume he is right now in the office.
Word order
In a main clause, werden is in position 2, the infinitive at the end. In a subordinate clause, both verbs are at the end, infinitive first.
